By challenging barriers to positive change and influencing future policy, our objective is simple: to make a difference.
We have created a criminal justice information exchange service, which has become a centre for excellence, for the significant benefit of all who engage within the criminal justice sector.
Prison Advice and Care Trust (Pact)
Pact works in over 65 prisons and 8 CRCs and provides prison-based family engagement workers, visitors’ centres, visitor support, supervised play, catering and family activities, relationship and parenting education programmes, court and community family support, ‘Through the Gate’ family resettlement support and community based mentoring and befriending programmes.
We also run the HMPPS contracted National Prisoners' Families Helpline which can be reached 7 days a week on 0808 808 2003.

Recent work includes:
- 9month art based project in a Female PIPE Approved Premises which culminated in a book of art, poetry, writing to be sent to all female prisons in early 2019.
- Delivery of a Serious and Organised Crime programme 'Liberate' across Lancashire to Probation Approved Premises, YOT's, schools and PRU's
- Making Positive Choices' workshops to support children and young people keeping away from gangs.
- Child on parent violence programmes to families for Cumbria OPCC & Restorative Solutions
- 'How to use Restorative Approaches in practice': creative training for recently trained RJ practitioners
Restorative Justice Council
The RJC is the independent third sector membership body for the field of restorative practice. Our patron is HRH, the Princess Royal.
Our members are practitioners, training providers, organisations providing restorative practice across the country, and individual supporters. All RJC members receive monthly e-bulletins and quarterly newsletters, dedicated member-only resources and forums online, discounted entry to RJC events, and free telephone advice.
We provide quality assurance for the public through our work on best practice, standards and accreditation; our online national Trainers Register and Practitioner Register; and through our Practitioner and Trainer Codes of practice.
We are the national voice for restorative practice, advocating for the development of restorative practice with Government and providing information to the public.
Restorative Solutions CIC
We introduce restorative practices to organisations, volunteers and front line workers who are looking for a proven and worthwhile alternative to existing conventional approaches to reducing conflict, disputes, anti-social behaviour, bullying, crime and re-offending. We deliver bespoke Restorative Justice services to organisations.
Spurgeons
We work in the heart of communities, delivering a range of high quality, flexible services for those affected by imprisonment and offending. These include; running Prison Visitors’ Centres; mentoring - pre and post release; family days; parenting Programmes in prisons; Family Support Programmes for offenders and their families; through the gate support and family re-integration; community support services for families of offenders; and training for partner organisations.
The IARS International Institute

- developing and delivering user-led training programmes; and
- assisting other organisations to develop robust theory of change models and evaluation frameworks to demonstrate their impact.
