Forward Assist's ‘veteran specific’ projects offer support and guidance to former servicemen and women experiencing difficulties in adjusting to a new life as a civilian. Forward Assist support programmes include activities for all ages and physical & mental abilities. These activities are particularly relevant for former servicemen and women who are unemployed, experiencing homelessness, have experience of social exclusion or have involvement with the Criminal Justice System and are aimed at reintegrating veterans into civilian life.

FYRST STEP OOB - Working with prolific offenders from HMP Holloway and Pentonville. It is a Teir 2 Treatment Service supporting vulnerable and chaotic people being released from Prisons who need support to arrive at their treatment service. The programme focuses on people who are defined as "Revolving Door Offenders" who come from Boroughs outside of Islington. The service works in partnership with both prisons; CARATS<CJITS and DIP Teams across 31 boroughs.
IMACE_ Mentoring and Befriending Project. The project enables people to re-establish ties with their local and wider community. Members will include people returning from drug and alcohol treatment, prison or mental health establishments. Through one to one peer mentoring.
