Outcomes Focus Training (2 days, limited to 12)
How much do you know about the effects of your organisation's work? Would you like
to know more about outcomes? Are your funders asking about outcomes monitoring? This
course will equip you to introduce an outcomes focus within your own organisation.
The training runs on two separate days, with a gap of three to five weeks in between,

Practical Strategic Planning for Small and Medium Organisations (1 day, limited
to 12)
What are the aims and objectives of your core work? We will look at practical tools
for reviewing and assessing what your organisation does and how to plan for the future;
how to build a shared understanding of what your vision and mission are and how to
express these both internally and to others you aim to work with.
You will learn to recognise the hallmarks of a clear, quality strategic plan which,
in turn, will help you avoid mission drift but still take advantage of promising opportunities.

Essentials of Quality (1 day, limited to 12)
Taking a decision to apply for a quality mark, or to establish yourself as a 'quality
organisation', has a number of implications for an organisation: time, cost, staff/volunteer
moral and commitment. Also selecting the method (internal / external / combination
evaluation) is as important as which mark you may choose to pursue. It is a process
which takes full organisational buy in.
We will look at this 'process' of decision making, practice and evaluate some key
examples (Charter Mark, PQASSO, Matrix, Action for Advocacy, EFQM) and look at recent
work from the NOMS Commissioning and Contestability Unit -- Governance Framework;
HMPS London's Pro-forma; the Attitude Thinking and Behaviour Pathway's Pro forma --
all for practice, discussion, and evaluation as to its appropriateness for you/the
VCS sector and what you will need to have in place to produce the evidence for a quality
mark or as a 'quality organisation'.
