Working with Offenders Directory

The Working with Offenders Directory is a free, comprehensive online database providing support for offenders in prison and the community. It features details of rehabilitation services available to offenders and their families.

The Directory includes services run by over 450 organisations. It has a search function which allows users to find a particular service in their local area, for example. This will allow offenders and those who work with them to find services quickly and easily, supporting those first steps towards rehabilitation.

Listing your organisation’s details is quick, free and easy to do online and enables you to promote your organisation’s work to all those who use the Directory, including VCS organisations, prison and probation officers, commissioners and offenders.

"It is useful and accessible to offenders, staff and the community. Clinks have done good work in collecting information on the organisations providing services to resettle offenders and reduce re-offending."

Phil Wheatley, former Director General of the National Offender Management Service (NOMS).

Organisations featured on the Working with Offenders Directory range from ‘Birth Companions’, a unique organisation that provides a service to pregnant women and new mothers in HMP Holloway to ‘Good Vibrations’, who run Indonesian bronze percussion courses, helping offenders develop crucial skills such as communication, teamworking, creative thinking and concentration.

Clinks Director Clive Martin said: “The Working with Offenders Directory demonstrates the range and number of excellent rehabilitation services the Voluntary and Community Sector provides, whilst enabling professionals and offenders to find appropriate services to address the causes of offending.”
