Networking

Clinks encourages the sharing of ideas and information, to keep the Sector informed and promote the work of the Sector.

As well as our networking events, we are beginning to use online platforms, such as Ning, to allow the Sector to share knowledge. Currently, this is available for members of the Arts Alliance and the Volunteering and Mentoring Network.

Clinks manages the following networks:

The Arts Alliance is a coalition of arts organisations working in the criminal justice system. Its purpose is to improve communication and broker relationships between artists and organisations working with the criminal justice sector, offenders and ex-offenders, prison and probation staff, and relevant government departments. The Arts Alliance provides practitioners and service users with a voice through which to influence policy, a forum in which to exchange views, and a stand on which to promote and raise the profile of the arts in the criminal justice sector.

The Volunteering and Mentoring Network is aimed at services that involve volunteers and/or mentoring to support offenders in their rehabilitation. It is intended to provide you with a platform to learn, interact, network and develop your services with other providers in the Criminal Justice System.
