Clinks, NAVCA and local support

Clinks is working in partnership with National Association of Voluntary and Community Action (NAVCA) to increase awareness of the work and support needs of local organisations with offenders. NAVCA is the national body for local support and development organisations, such as Councils for Voluntary Service and Volunteer Centres.

Clinks' partnership with NAVCA combines Clinks' expertise in criminal justice with NAVCA’s knowledge of local support and development organisations and the local Voluntary and Community Sector, and enables us to communicate with the national network of local support and development organisations.

We are:

  1. Increasing awareness among local support and development organisations of the large numbers of organisations which work with offenders
  2. Ensuring infrastructure organisations can provide support or signpost frontline organisations to other sources of support, including making use of Clinks information and services
  3. Promote the successful work that some infrastructure organisations are doing.
  4. promote the generic support services of local support and development organisations to those working with offenders.

NAVCA's Supporting Offenders project is managed by Carrie McKenzie. You can find out more about the project here
