South West VCS Development Manager (salary £35,000 pa)

Salary:£35,000 pa + 6% pension and 25 days annual leave, in addition to statutory holidays

Clinks was established in 1998 to strengthen and develop the partnerships between voluntary and community-based organisations and the Prison and Probation Services in England and Wales. Since 2005, a South West VCS Development Manager has been employed to support VCS organisations in the region supporting their engagement with the criminal justice system, and acting as a bridge between NOMS, prison and probation services, and the voluntary sector. With the post-holder moving on, Clinks is looking for a new VCS manager to take this work forward.

Key elements of the job will include:

  • Developing strategies for increasing the contribution of VCS organisations to work with offenders and their families.
  • Promoting collaboration within the VCS and with NOMS, prison and probation services.
  • Enhancing the communication between the criminal justice agencies and the VCS in the region.
  • Developing the capacity of small VCS organisations to deliver services to offenders and their families.
